I am a news analyst and senior correspondent based in southern Israel. My work in broadcast and digital journalism has drawn attention from Jewish, Muslim and Christian readers worldwide.
Because of my clinical background (I am also a psychiatric social worker and psychotherapist) I strive to reframe issues to capture the difference in cultural codes and reveal the importance of commonality between different peoples. This has proved invaluable not only in my work as a journalist, but also in occasional forays into the fields of diplomacy, interfaith and intercultural relations.
I have been interviewed on Turkish television and have anchored an interfaith satellite television program broadcast from Istanbul; I was also the sole female member of the first Chabad-Lubavitch delegation to the Crown Heights Coalition, a gathering of ethnic community leaders called in August 1991 by then-New York City Brooklyn Borough President Howard Golden in response to a 3-day pogrom in the Crown Heights neighborhood.
